[Leaked] Cyber Knights - Summer Weapons Catalog

[Fragments of the Paydata Transmission]

... new catalog of competitive weapons ...
... must not allow AzTek Global or Yak... market lead ...
... lack of transportation res... local production ...
... new killing power ... streets of the New Boston Zone.
... disseminated into local shops ... encourage ...

[ Yakashima Operative Report - M12-Op5433-12, year 2217 ]

While the paydata itself is garbled and lacking most of the substantive words, its promise is clear. The new factory-hive that Mars Corp opened on the Long Island in the old Boston Harbor will soon be roaring to life. This information collaborates with Report M17-Op5544-13, in that Mars Corp worker class citizens are being secretly shuttled to Long Island.

This paydata was extracted--at great cost--from a mainframe host code-named Dead.Of.Night and first referenced in N22-Op1121-03, year 2216. Per the report, Dead.Of.Night is allegedly within the factory hive. The hemorrhaging and failing brain of the Cyber Knight who extracted the paydata from Dead.Of.Night is responsible for the lack of clarity in the encoded text. The M12 team recommends that no decker or hacker below class D6 attempt to access this host.

As such, the evidence seems clear. Mars Corp will be engaging in mass weapons manufacturing just outside the NBZ within the month. They will feature a new line of arms and armor which will initially target the surplus and street stores within New Boston, attempting to edge out any competition and finally gain a demanding market lead.

The recommendation of the M12 team is to sabotage the operations on Long Island at any cost. As a secondary recommendation, if Mars Corp is successful in producing the new "Summer Line," it is critical that the Yakashima security forces are re-armed, as the Cyber Knights and street gangs of the NBZ are certain be carrying the new catalog.

[ Look forward to a new Summer Line of weapons released to the streets of the NBZ. Within the month, Mars will have released all the new models! Also, keep your ear to the concrete, because soon connectors will be hiring Cyber Knights to follow up on the recommendation of the M12 team! ]

[ Thanks to everyone for your support of Star Traders RPG Elite! ]

Excellent! Supplied some ideas on improvement, they were implemented two updates later, top notch support & brilliant game on HTC desire

I play this one everyday, and the developer is always updating with new content. Awesome app. Good work!

Probably the best game in market... Feature rich, infinitely replayable, and constantly updated with new and great material. Definitely worth it!

Very fun.. Lots of ways to play... There are some bugs. But dev is very friendly, responsive, and works hard to improve an already fun app.

Cyber Knights RPG v0.3.11 Released

Thank you for supporting our new project

New release of Cyber Knights RPG on the Android Market:

8/10/2011 - v0.3.11
  • Fixed Clinic Bugs
  • Improved Taxi Map Icons
  • Even Better Blue Arrow
  • Improved Gang Intel Pages
  • Delete Contact Button
  • Pawn Value for Files
  • New Contact / More Images / Fixed Screen
  • Fixed Trash Filled Building

A number of forum members and e-mail players helped us get the Implants bugs worked out. We hit our target -- "no corrupted saved game files" but it took us some extra work to get working for all formats and phones.

Rest assured, you should not be able to remove any type of implant.

The blue arrow keeps getting more reliable and opening the correct dialog more often. Try it out by just using tap instead of Long Press. Tap should be doing a better job of opening the correct dialog now.

A few reports of bad buildings came in and thanks to those persistent detailed folks the map is improving with each release.

The icons display for Taxis have been updated, hopefully this will mean that the game map is easier to navigate.

Several large, medium and small sized screen UI fixes for shops, contacts, matrix have been tested and are now deployed.

Looted "computer files" now have a credit value so that they are worth pawning back to a store. They now count as a combat reward as well as possible advice for new players. If you already have the file, now you can sell it for combat credits.

At the request of several players we have added a "delete" button to the contact list so at a data terminal you can De-V-Chip someone.

Cyber Knights RPG v0.3.9 Released

A new version of Cyber Knights RPG Beta has been posted.

Thank you for supporting our new project

8/10/2011 - v0.3.9
* Improved Clinics Features
- Fixed Encounter FCs
- Fixed Clinic FCs
+ New BETA Contact: Texas Powers
- 24 New Dialogs
- 30 New Jobs
- 6 New Rep Rewards

This release corrects a number of issues with the new Clinic feature and fixes all the FC reported today.

This release also includes a new beta contact (he has some issues, some of his dialog is incomplete.) This is a new type of "ladder climber" contact that the Knight uses to get in with a Faction. This guy is Brave Star and you can find him at a star bar located in New Boston.

Fixers, Connectors, new jobs and sneak dealers are popping up all over the zone.

Beyond that, you can now remove / replace your character's implants -- and it should work on everyone's phones now =)

Star Traders RPG v3.9.13 Released

v3.9.13 - 8/9/11
  • NEW Fuel Curves By Difficulty
  • Fixed Fuel Use Display in Cargo
  • Resource Rumor Display Shows AU Range
  • Resource Rumor Display Plot Course Button
  • Fixed some Typos
  • Fixed Reputation Award Bug
  • Fixed Spice Hall FC
  • Improved Low Memory Performance Option
  • Fixed Another Sound Bug
  • Slightly More XP - Merchants

We have heard some feedback that the fuel usage calculation was too harsh on lower difficulties. We have adjusted that.

There has long been some feedback that the "fuel breaks" at 20 and 30 didn't make as much sense now that we have more ships with "mid-break" solar and engine values. Therefore, we have changed over to a curved scalar. 20 and 30 are still significant, but fuel savings will be increased (slightly) for each point between the two curve anchors.

There has been recent feedback about the cargo display of fuel usage. We've fixed up some of the modifiers that we used to try to keep it as accurate as possible considering all the things (accidents, Crew, rumors, skills) that change it over time.

The performance of the "Low memory" options was again improved. If you are having trouble making ST RPG run as fast as you want -- or if you get random crashes -- turning on "low memory settings" might really help.

Of course, we work to service all e-mails and "REPORT" buttons with each release. Lots of new phones are hitting the market and we're moving as rapidly as we can to support those.

On that line, a few new phones have some sound issue that Google is working to resolve -- and we're just working around for the time being.

Thanks to everyone who helped with this release.

If you keep helping and keep encouraging us we'll try to make the next release even better.

Cyber Knights RPG v0.3.7 Released

Thank you for supporting our new project

8/8/2011 - v0.3.7
  • Remove and Replace Implants At Clinics
  • New Heal Wounds At Clinic
  • Fixed Apt 3A,
  • Fixed Dockside Shack,
  • Fixed Reported Interfere Typo
  • Fixed Karma Spend FC
  • Fixed Encounter FC
  • Fixed Combat FC

Many people have been requesting the ability to remove and replace Implants. This release includes a basic feature for that.

Many people have requested a better "Doctor" feature at the Clinic and so that has been added.

Many players on the forum on via e-mail have reported various buildings and doors not working -- so we have fixed those.

Several eagle eyed players sent in grammatical corrections and requests for spelling fixes -- those have been applied as best we can with our limited English skills ;)

Small update, really busy at work but this one took a while to get ready.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Cyber Knights - Art Upgrades

Due to community demand, I have been working back over the Cyber Knights sprites! In preparation, I studied some of my favorite RPG sprites (FF, Shining Force, Chrono Trigger) and read a wealth of tutorials.

I am very happy with the results, ending up with more dynamic poses with stronger, stand out color schemes and much more realistic body shapes and sizes!

I hope you enjoy the new sprite set and my promise that I will re-vamp every sprite in the game to this new quality!

Star Traders RPG v3.9.9 Released

The newest release of Star Traders RPG and Star Traders RPG Elite can be downloaded from the Android Market:

v3.9.9 - 8/5/2011
  • Availability Unlock: Databank
  • Availability Unlock: Smuggler Hold
  • Availability Unlock: Escape Shuttle
  • New Award (Independet Captain, -120 Reps)
  • New Performance Options
  • New Memory Saver Option (fixes FCs!)
  • Updates some ships
  • Slightly more upgrades @ Indy Worlds
  • Slightly More Trade @ Indy Worlds
  • More Balanced Ship Sale Prices
  • More Credits for Upgrades at Trade In
  • Increases Upgrades Available at Dock
  • Fixed Main Map Memory Exhaustion Bug
  • Improved Intimidate Skill Description
  • Fixed 2 Reported FC
  • Fixed 1 Sound Cut Out Bug on Samgsung
  • Minor Armor Damage Tweaks

People said the Escape Shuttle was too hard to find after you had been playing for a while. Fixed that with an unlock.

People Report'd bugs with "out of memory" errors on some phones. Added an option they can use to stop that from happening.

Heard that people wanted a "big negative" award, so I added that.

A new player sent me an e-mail saying that they had ignored intimidation for too long because they didn't see anything about fuel use. I updated the description to be more specific about what it does for deep space.

There was a general feeling from many players that after we added the latest set of upgrades that the scarcity of upgrades was getting pretty bad, so we increased the number of available upgrades.

There have been some threads about Water-Fuel, Reputation and other discussions. As a result we have increased the number of trade goods (in particular, water-fuel) found at indy worlds. The logic being that they are smart traders, know fuel is key, and produce it as much as they can.

And many players have said that they want the "Future" unlocks to be filled in ASAP so we are releasing the first part of the project with v3.9.9
