KickStarter: Heroes of Steel: Alpha Testing Reward

One of the Backer Rewards that Andrew and I are really excited to be able to offer via KickStarter is “Alpha Access.” This update sets about to explain some of the details about the Reward (which is granted to any backers giving $100 or more) and share some of our excitement about the process we’re going to use. We already have 10 lucky alpha testers in the pool and hope to have more joining this exciting collaboration!

Join The Heroes of Steel Alpha Test

As a Heroes of Steel backer, you will be invited to participate in the alpha test and give us early feedback and ideas during the development of the game. The alpha test will be a private affair. As an alpha tester, you will be issued a username and password to a secure site where you will be able to download the Heroes of Steel Android game package (APK) and/or the Heroes of Steel iOS game (IPA) depending on our stretch goals and development progress. You will then be invited to a private forum where you will work directly with Andrew and I as well as the rest of the alpha testing team to play, give feedback, report problems and suggest improvements to the game system, features, story and user interface. As an alpha tester, you will have unprecedented early access to the Heroes of Steel project as it is developed! During the alpha testing period, you will also be invited to bi-weekly online hangouts where you can chat directly with the Trese Brothers and the rest of the alpha testing team. You won’t find another experience like this in the game development world--you’ll be plugged in on the ground floor.

Visit Heroes of Steel KickStarter

As with all of our games, you will receive updates during the alpha test as the game evolves. You’ll be able to log into your tester account and download and install the updates onto as many devices (phones, tablets, etc) as you want. As much as possible your characters will be updated between alpha versions.

Following the alpha test we will enter a period of beta testing using normal distribution channels (Google Play, Amazon App Store and Apple iTunes) so we can complete the game’s testing using the established methods for distributing game updates. If you've played Cyber Knights or Templar Assault, you've seen our BETA programs -- active development and non-stop updates. With Heroes of Steel the alpha testing program will allow us to release a more completed version of the game to beta. Our plan is to lay the foundation of the game hand in hand with the alpha team. As a member of that group you will receive an exclusive forum badge that honors your commitment to Heroes of Steel and during the public beta so your advice to new players, input to the development team and experience with the world of Steel will be recognized by all.

Thanks to everyone for your support and see you on Team Alpha!
