Thank you for the memories

We have been dreaming of, working on, and building Star Traders RPG for almost five years. The game started as an inside joke between Andrew and I, and a way for us to explore the Android platform as a shared technical interest -- something our day jobs didn't provide us.

After several months of gestation as a two player game, we started thinking about putting it on Google Play so a few of our friends could play (I'm thinking about you, Sha.)

1.0.1 was released on October 27, 2010 just before my birthday and barely two months after my wedding to Ms. Allison ... and in classic Trese Brothers style, 1.0.3 was released on the morning of October 28. Not content with a single release for our second day, 1.0.5 was released in the evening on October 28, and allowed games that lasted more than 1000 turns. That release went out to all 90 people who'd downloaded the game.

On November 19, we released the first version of Star Traders RPG that you could pay for. And the rest, as they say, is history!

  1. Congratulations on 5 strong years and here's to another 10+. You guys have built an empire worthy of the stars. Your ambitions remain high and even AAA developers can learn a thing or two from your business model.
I started with CK shortly after it's release, and tried ST a little after that. I may have been a year late to the beginning, but I've been supportive since I found your products.
Now, I make LP videos of both Star Traders RPG Elite and Cyber Knights RPG Elite on YouTube.

The future is looking great for you, and we are glad you've been able to continue doing what you love!
